FALCONE SPORT 1957

                                                        (english version on bottom)

My first vintage bike, as it is for many beginners, is a Moto Guzzi Airone Sport. Nice, affordable, entirely satisfactory, but, after all, equipped with a too small engine. It becomes necessary to make an increasing step: the Falcone.

Years ago, I am serving in Sardegna and I buy a 1957 Falcone Sport, equipped with some non original, but apparently interesting and aged components. After some researches I discover that Moto Guzzi sold this bike directly to the motorcycle runner Guido Paciocca to run the endurance race “Milano Taranto”, that, in the mean time, was cancelled. The bike, owned by other following runners, was used to run some “Grande Audax” races.

I change all those old components, which were installed to run endurance races, and so I have my bike in her original conditions. Luckily I kept the old components. With the bike brought back to its endurance version, I participate to the 2013 Milano Taranto, the race the bike was bought for.
